Monika Anderson Photography decided to marry two opposing themes in this offbeat shoot. She says, “Car junkyard and tulle? That definitely doesn't seem like an obvious combination for the traditional bride. But it might be the right cup of tea (or maybe whiskey) for the bold and daring girl!” The juxtaposition of the bridal shoot in a junkyard won our hearts over immediately. The elements of soft, feminine tulle and lace against rough metals show that any bride can find her unique style on her wedding day.

We love that the team decided to keep the rocker style pretty minimal. Monika adds, “We absolutely love the contrast between the delicate dress and heavy machines! There is no need for a veil or delicate jewelry here. Instead, we opted for the rock-and-roll style and finished the look with a leather jacket and cool hat! The stylish, tall black boots added the right amount of attitude to the overall look.” The leather accessories were an easy add-on to give the look its punk flair.

To go along with that rocker look, the team wanted the model (who is also the makeup artist!) to have a glam look that was still edgy. “We kept things simple and focused on elements that are usually overseen in traditional bridal inspirations, like rocking styling, stunning hair and top-notch makeup,” says Monkia. “Note – both hair and makeup were done by the model Megan! She is on the top in her field and the makeup in this shoot is just perfection!”
