Amanda first crossed paths with Doug at a freshman college party. After realizing they wanted to be more than friends, Doug asked Amanda to be his girlfriend. Once the pair had forever on their minds, Doug planned a proposal. During a lake trip with Amanda’s friends, Doug popped the question around a bonfire. “It was so wonderful to have all of our friends around at that moment,” Amanda gushes.
The couple went to pick out Amanda’s ring together. With a white gold band and moissanite stone, this timeless ring has some sparkle. She says, “We picked the ring I fell in love with first because duh, it’s beautiful!”
Amanda and Doug thought they had a solid wedding plan, but began to rethink a few things to better represent themselves as a couple. Now with a venue, they continue to work together to find what feels right to both of them.
“Knowing that I have great support from my friends and family, I think wedding planning will be fun and exciting,” Amanda says. “We want to make sure that our wedding day really represents who we are as a couple; classic, chill and simple.”
