The Vision
WeddingDay’s Southwest Michigan Cover Shoot will give you a fresh and contemporary twist on spring style! Kelsey Hahn, lead designer at White Dahlia Events, drew inspiration from natural citrus fruits to make this rustic shoot feel more organic. With a color palette of oranges, yellows and blushes, this bright and airy theme perfectly reflects a sprouting orchard. Beautifully captured in photography by Arielle Peters Photography, this modern shoot will give you all the inspiration you’ll need for your springtime nuptials!
The Venue
The Revival Wedding Barn offered a fresh twist to a traditional rustic atmosphere that made this Southwest Michigan venue perfect for this set up. The white wood that makes up the barn acts as a clean slate to beautifully overlay spring style onto it. Bright, natural light illuminates the airy venue through its gorgeous windows.
The Look
The team drew on alluring romantic vibes to create the models’ overall looks. Taking a twist on the traditional, this off-shoulder gown has breathtaking beading and lace details. The intricate braid in the bride’s hair, styled by Girl on the Glow, acts as a modern twist to a soft updo while her neutral makeup puts emphasis on her natural beauty. The groom’s sharp tux is topped off with a bowtie for a grand look.
The Cake & Desserts
This dessert display is too sweet to pass up! These two- and four-tiered cakes from Soulard’s offer a traditional elegance, while the lemon bar desserts stay true to the shoot’s citrus theme. The orange floral pieces add an extra organic touch to this classic display!
The Stationery
Nothing sets the tone for an luxurious celebration quite like stationery, and this lovely springtime suite is gorgeously refined! Designed by Invitations by Caitlin, this floral-themed set includes a print inside the envelope for an added touch of color. Additional calligraphy used in the table numbers and bar sign only adds to the day’s charm!
The Florals
Let’s be real, the florals in this shoot absolutely steal the show! LB Floristry used fruity tones of orange, blush, yellow and tan to create a stunning citrus color palette. Luscious arrangements of roses and greenery curve around the bride and groom to create a stunning backdrop to say “I do.” To add an extra citrus touch, the tablescape bouquets include fresh lemons!
The DÉcor
This dreamy tablescape offers a perfect springtime spread! The light tones of blush, baby blue and orange used in the décor bring out a fresh citrusy look. The rentals provided by Burns Special Events added elegant little details such as napkins, candles and eclectic glassware. To add a twist on the color scheme, Kelsey chose a mustard napkin to tie in a pop of yellow!
