In a comical twist of events, Jessica was actually Britney's State Farm agent before they actually met in person, and Jessica was Britney's brother's best friend for a long time before they were introduced! Being an active participant in drag shows, Jessica was going to perform with Britney's brother one night. "He told me, 'I’m going to introduce you to your future wife tonight.' And now we have to spend the rest of our lives telling him he was right," Jessica jokes. When Britney proposed at the nature preserve where they said, "I love you" for the first time, Jessica pulled out an Uno reverse card before kneeling down and also proposing!
Wanting to make sure they each had a ring they loved, Britney and Jessica took the time to choose them together. Britney explains, "When we got to the point in dating where we both knew this was 'it', we talked about how we should both have exactly the ring we wanted so we started looking at them together." Britney chose a rose gold ring with morganite accented with pearls and moissanite on each side. Jessica's ring complements Britney's with a moissanite gemstone and rose gold band. We think they're both beautiful rings!
They met their photographer, Jessie Silva, at a bridal show, where she made an impression by having a large personality that Britney and Jessica felt would work well with their friends. Once they were able to meet with Jessie one-on-one, she made them feel calm and comfortable, which is what they wanted from their photographer! Jessica admits, "I usually feel so awkward getting my picture taken, but Jessie made me feel like I could just relax and laugh. After seeing our engagement photos, I am SO excited for the wedding photos!" Jessie also recommended their vibrant engagement session location!
Planning is going well for Britney and Jessica, especially since they are still a year out. While they both had a vision for their wedding day, their ideas complemented each other beautifully, so they have been able to get inspired and build off of what each other sees for their day. They have a vibe and color scheme—which they got from bouquet inspiration on Pinterest—as well as a few of their vendors booked, but they are focused on bigger things. "I just knew I wanted to be married to her and wanted all our friends and family to be there, so everything else
has just been details," Britney shares.
