Meet the Photographer: Box of Light Photography

"Let me get real. I'm not a huge fan of photos of myself, but every one that Emily took I truly loved. She has a way of capturing the perfect emotion in each click of her camera. Please tell us a little more about your business.

"I have been photographing professionally for nearly 10 years and it is safe to say that weddings are my absolute favorite thing to be a part of and photograph. Witnessing two people go through one of the most exciting days of their lives and being able to capture their unique story in meaningful photographs is a magical combination for me."
 

What sets you apart from others? Why should a bride choose you?

"Let's be honest, there are a lot of photographers out there and it is important to make sure we are a good fit for each other in personality and style. I can tell you that I am devoted to my couples from start to finish. I want your day to run as smoothly as possible and part of that includes things from helping you create your timeline to helping pin on boutonnieres. I will make sure we get all of the pictures you need to create a beautiful, visual narrative of your big day and an experience that feels like your friend was there to capture it for you."
 

Do you have anything else exciting that you would like to share?

"I have two things that I am very excited about right now. One is that my family and I are welcoming a new baby boy into our lives (due on my birthday which is September 25, 2018). Two is that all of my wedding packages already include a completely complimentary engagement session as a thank you for booking with me, but I have also decided to offer a free 16" x 24" Fine Art Canvas with each wedding package that is booked by December 31, 2018."

What inspires you as a photographer?

"People inspire me. Everyone is unique and has their own story to tell and I love freezing important moments to create an individualized narrative for each of my clients."

What do you love most about photographing weddings?

"Getting to meet new people is a big one for me. I have become friends with pretty much every couple who I've captured tying the knot. I like to get to know the people I photograph so that their personalities come through in my images. Everyone has such interesting stories to tell and to see their friends and family gather around them to celebrate that is a pretty amazing event."
