Let's stop and smell the flowers for this submission to our 2019 Style Shoot Design Contest! The concept of this shoot played off the theme of 'The Elements', specifically channeling Mother Nature on her wedding day. According to Ashlee of Ashlee Cole Photography, Erin Reitzel of HannaSola Florals came up with the concept all on her own. “Erin wanted the couple to be effortless, casual, sexy and elegant all at once,” Ashlee says. “She thrived on the color palette being colorful and vibrant with a hint of glam from sparkles.”

Let’s talk about those stunning florals. We love how the bouquet cascades off the bride’s body! “Erin’s vision came from the idea that the bouquet elements took time to mature before being turned into this gorgeous piece,” Ashlee explains.

We absolutely adore the layers of this dress. Ashlee says that Erin added around 100 Swarovski crystals in order to give it more of a bridal feel. D.I.Y. at its best! We love how the added touches really push the limits on the traditional theme while bringing in a style unique to this shoot.

Ashley Farm was the team’s top choice because of the variety of spaces, both indoor and outdoor. “Every room is different but cohesive,” Ashlee explains. “There are a variety of spaces available to couples, and thanks to their creativity during the planning process, we had no shortage of options to take portraits. Ashley Farm offers a bridal suite, grooms barn, silo bar, outdoor and indoor ceremony spaces, and even the restrooms are over the top elegant as well!”  The outdoor ceremony site even has a sign that read “enchanted forest." It was a perfect fit!

The team tried to stay away from trends, but utilized wooden flowers. All of the wooden flowers seen in this shoot were hand-made and painted by Erin herself to fit her vision. “Wood flowers have not been around in the wedding industry for long,” Ashlee says. “Erin is one of under ten people in the country who makes and sells these flowers. She truly believes these flowers are going to make a big splash in the wedding industry for years to come.” We can’t wait to see where this trend goes, because those flowers are heavenly!

This shoot looks like the perfect dreamy garden escape--can you believe this was shot in 90-degree heat? Ashlee says keeping everyone cool was one of the biggest challenges. We’re so glad this team was able to persist and keep this shoot gorgeous!

That cake gets a special shout out, too! Erin took inspiration from woodland trees to create a masterpiece wrapped in greenery with flowers flowing down each side. The unique use of a beehive adds a stunning twist to the overall enchanted experience!
