Take a trip to the stars in this Out of This World themed submission to our 2020 Style Shoot Contest Submission! Sarah Kathleen of Sarah Kathleen Events wanted to create a shoot that was bright, bold and different to inspire any star-crossed couples. “We wanted to combine the bold aspects of celestial décor with the gentle touches of boho décor,” Sarah explains. “This mix creates a perfect balance between whimsical fabrics and dainty fairy lights in contrast with dark toned flowers and uniquely shaped décor.”

Classic Blue, the 2020 Pantone Color of the Year, was paired with pops of gold to create a classic celestial atmosphere. Used in the napkins, flowers and cake, this shoot’s deep blue tones have us dreaming of the night sky.

This venue’s exposed brick gives the perfect rustic backdrop for this celestial celebration. Sarah adds, “The twinkly lights and candlelight subtly brightened up the venue to create a glow similar to stars shining in the sky.”

The details of this bridal look is having us see stars. With a bodice full of beading, the gown gives off the perfect shimmering effect the team was going for. “The intricate and glistening pattern included sequins that shimmered like a shooting star as the bride was twirled around by her groom,” Sarah gushes. Purple undertones of the bride’s makeup incorporates the shoot’s color scheme, and the whole look was topped off with a golden hairpiece.

This five-tier cake looks almost too good to eat! We love the details of the hand-painted constellations and edible flowers.

We love a statement backdrop, and this illuminated crescent moon steals the show!
