"The vision for this shoot was to turn every house from Harry Potter into a bridal style," Arleigh of Alivia Gray Studios explains. For every bride or groom who grew up wanting to take that magical trip to Hogwarts, this wedding theme is the best way to integrate that love into your big day, especially if you and your future-spouse bonded over a mutual love for this fantastical world!

When it came to the venue, the team wanted something that had the magical and transformative feel that crossing platform 9 3/4 has in the Harry Potter series. Arleigh shares, "The Ashbury has high ceilings, large open space and the perfect brick walls. It just was a magical feel when you enter the building." We love the natural light streaming through the windows and how each wall has a different feel for unique pictures everywhere you turn.

Designing this style shoot came very easy for the team. Wanting each of the four Hogwarts houses to be clearly represented with all the décor, they already knew what their color schemes would be. "We put together a style board for each house, the most difficult part was finding vendors who could step out of their comfort zone to create the looks we were trying to achieve," Arleigh admits. They incorporated the colors of the houses into everything from the tablescapes to the bouquets and even to the bold makeup on the brides!

Each of the brides was designated to embody the four Hogwarts houses. "In my heart I wanted bold styles and each model to truly represent the traits of each house," Arleigh gushes. "We chose four different dress styles to fit with each house and their characteristics. Slytherin being know for its darkness, we went with a black ball gown. For Gryffindor we followed with the courageous queen style–very elegant. In Ravenclaw we did a simple lace dress with a feathery feel. Hufflepuff was a classic look with simple sequins and an a-line ball gown." We think all the brides turned out beautiful! You can clearly see each house in the bridal looks.

Last but certainly not least, take a look at those creative cakes! "We had two bakers come onboard for this shoot. Each had two houses to create. They both used unique styles," Arleigh raves. And we couldn't agree more! The cakes are wonderful representations of the four main houses at Hogwarts. They also included Butterbeer, a favorite drink from the series. Each house also had a specialty cocktail made to represent the house colors as well. Signature drinks are such a unique and trendy detail that is growing in receptions.
