There is something about an open, airy feel of a greenhouse that creates a euphoric feeling. This is the exact feeling that comes through in this style shoot. Hair and makeup artist Carleana Delacruz was inspired by the Royal Wedding. As a result, the team came up with a fresh idea for a greenhouse shoot with the dresses and tones reflecting just that. Johnson Photography says, “We wanted a clean, bright, simply spring aesthetic!” That idea was met with pink tones, a feminine palette and romantic style gowns from Becker’s Bridal's outlet location.

“Being in a greenhouse gave us the freedom to shoot despite the soggy weather,” says Johnson Photography. “We loved having diffused, natural light and so much live greenery and floral backdrops while shooting!” That natural light brought in a very soft, ethereal vibe for the shoot. The small details like the soft updo by Carleana Delacruz were the perfect addition for this shoot. Carleana adds, “I did a version of a messy French twist, which is very trendy currently and incorporated a fascinator into some shoots.”

Becker’s Bridal, located in Fowler, Michigan, is a well-renowned salon with over 2,000 gowns in stock featuring designers like Adrianna Papell and Rebecca Ingram. Their outlet location provided several gorgeous gowns for the shoot. Johnson Photography says, “We shot a few different Adrianna Papell dresses from Becker’s Bridal. We chose dresses based on the light, airiness of the skirts and delicate details that we knew would lend to the venue’s beauty.”
