An Arizona Resort Wedding - The Wedding of Carley and Imoh Ekpo

Carley and Imoh met on Tinder back in 2015. After sending a few messages back and forth they decided to go out and the rest is history. Imoh popped the big question while he and Carley were visiting Carley’s family in Kansas City. Carley says, “It was just us and my parents and sisters who were present and it was perfect. I was totally shocked, didn’t see it coming yet at all!”

Carley and Imoh started finding their dream vendors for the big day. The first checked off their list was their venue. Carley adds, “It was beautiful and green and we could have all our guests stay there since it was a hotel. We had the wedding and reception there.” Knowing that they could have all their guests arrive at one place made the planning so much easier and the weekend of the wedding stress-free.

Carley wanted to go wedding dress shopping with a completely open mind, so she did not decide on the exact designer or style before she went. Carley says, “I tried on probably about ten different dresses between David’s Bridal and Bridal Boutique. When I tried on the dress that was my dress I started crying right away and that made me know it was my dress.”

What we love

We love that Carley did not go against her style and personality for the wedding. She kept it simple and elegant. She adds, “I am a simple person and I didn’t want anything over the top and that was special to me.”

Advice from the bride

Carley says, “Give yourself some grace. There is so much to do and so many little details to think about but at the end of the day, you are the only one that knows if something isn’t perfectly planned. That’s not what matters in the end, it’s that you are happy and married to the love of your life.”
