Allison and Matt met in fifth grade, and have been close ever since. After twelve years of dating, they were ready to spend the rest of their lives together. The couple took a road trip to Yellowstone National Park, where some beautiful glaciers were the backdrop when Matt got down on one knee!

Allison’s dress was the first one she tried on--she says she knew immediately that the dress was for her as soon as she slipped it on. We're obsessed with Matt's stylish floral tie!

The couple knew that they wanted a small, intimate wedding of under 100 guests, but when it came to planning the ceremony, they knew they needed a planner. Allison chose Events by D. Nicole as she had the connections and experience that never let Allison worry about any detail! She says, “I told Danielle generally what I was looking for (fall touches, personal touches, intimate wedding with special touches) and she helped me brainstorm how to bring it to life.”

The venue was chosen because of the way it complemented all of Allison’s wants in one place: small enough to host an intimate wedding, beautiful vineyards for romantic photos and bonfire pits to carry out the celebration in the evening, to name a few.

What we love

All the fall touches in this wedding showcase the love this couple has for the autumn season. For a welcome sign, Allison and Matt requested a local artist paint their favorite couple picture onto a large canvas to greet all their guests. For a heartfelt memorial touch, the couple shot out fireworks to commemorate the memory of Allison’s late father. “At the end of the night, we had 30 seconds of fireworks to end the evening, thank the guests for celebrating with us and honor my dad who couldn’t be there,” she remembers.

Advice from the couple

Allison wants future brides to dance the night away! “Make sure to get on the dance floor with your guests and tear it up! After all, you just got married – you have a lot to celebrate!”
