Christora Osters of Green Apple Photography had the idea to create a cohesive and floral style shoot to celebrate the season of fall and bring attention to a beautiful venue. "This venue is underutilized, and I don't feel many people in the area know about it. Because of this, we wanted to bring attention to the possibility of an intimate affair at a brewery but also with natural gorgeous elements involved," Christora explains.

Since Christora has visited the venue for drinks and always enjoyed spending time there, she knew hosting a style shoot at 3rd Turn Oldham Gardens would be stunning. "As a Greenhouse-turned-brewery, they have created a real sense of outdoor, rustic settings complete with tables and chairs to match the vibe," Christora raves. "They also have spaces within the facility that are different, therefore we knew we'd have various locations to photograph." Christora and her team were able to turn the beautiful greenhouse into a bohemian wonderland filled to the brim with flowers!

There weren't many rentals used in this shoot. "All the tablescape pieces come from items I have in my home," Christora admits. Knowing the shoot was happening in early October, she wanted to put the stunning fall colors on full display. One of the colors they've been seeing a lot of is mustard yellow. Besides being a popular color in all seasons, it's the perfect shade to brighten up any fall celebration. They also used plenty of wild roses and flat leaves to bring the garden theme to life!

The biggest obstacle for this style shoot was to find dresses they could borrow. Many bridal boutiques didn't want dresses leaving the shop during COVID. "We were so fortunate to find the Bridal Suite of Louisville. They offered not one, but six different gowns for us to utilize, all of which matched the floral theme, " Christora gushes. "Many of them had rose undertones which went well with our burgundy and mustard theme." For the makeup and hair, the guide was loose and natural with just a touch of glam. We think the brides look show-stopping!

Let's talk about that delicious cake! Christora says, "With a bare cake, Sweets by Mille created an inspired fan element that served in place of florals. I felt that her grasp of the theme was maximized with her contribution." We think the cake blends beautifully with the atmosphere created by the décor!
