When you walk into this stunning venue, you are met with sleek black lines surrounding the windows and an elegant atmosphere. The creative team behind this shoot wanted to play off of that feeling. "I named this style "Elegant Black Tie" because I wanted to pick a style that complemented the Everhart Gathering Place with the modern, black and neutral, well-lit space. I pictured high class, bold—with the sequin dress—and elegant," Gabriella, the photographer and planner for this shoot, shares.

Speaking of that stunning dress, we are in love with the combination of an elegant silhouette and glamorous sequins! Gabriella admits, "I didn't base all of the style off of this dress, but I definitely started with the dress and went from there. I looked for the perfect sequin dress for a long time because I wanted to find something dramatic, different and that could bring the shoot to the next level." There are some special details that really made this dress stick out as the one for this shoot. Gabriella knew she wanted long sleeves to add drama and movement to the shoot, but the fun back cut-out and head-to-toe sequins were what really sold this dress for her!

There is nothing more elegant than that tablescape! We love the way the black and white contrast so beautifully and set the scene. The glass details on the table—like the stemmed glasses and the floating candle holders—blend so well with the windows surrounding the venue. We are also obsessed with the crystal flower vases and how they add elegance to this shoot! The contrast between black and white is perfectly balanced from the black chairs to the white table cloth to the plates that have a white top with black sides and bottom. Another point of balance is the black flatware and glasses!

We have to talk about those desserts! Not only did the baker for this photo shoot come up with a stunning cake that is equal parts dark and light like the rest of this shoot, they also curated chocolate chip cookies and macarons for the couple to enjoy. The addition of white dots on the macarons was the perfect touch for this shoot. Everything looks so delicious! Another fun detail that the team added was a champagne tower for the happy couple to toast with.

The venue offers a blank slate that can be decorated as a couple sees fit. For this shoot, being surrounded by glass creates an elegant yet ethereal feel that is perfect for a decadent celebration of love. "It offered the tall, dramatic windows from floor to ceiling and concrete floors," Gabriella raves. "The venue was a fantastic addition." Despite the rain on the day of the shoot, the team was able to utilize the area around the venue for some unique sunset photography experiences, like a lantern lit photo-op!
