You can't go wrong with a classic dinner date! When Adam asked his coworker Anna out one night after work, the couple felt feelings blossom over the dinner table. Soon after came a relationship and engagement!

Anna says Adam proposed during a November trip to Devil’s Lake state park in Wisconsin. Anna says the fall trees turned out to be a gorgeous backdrop for the date! She says, “We were walking by the lake and Adam said, ‘Wow that would be a pretty picture.’ I got my phone out and started taking pictures. Then, he said we should take a selfie. When I turned around, he was on one knee and asked me to marry him.” Talk about a picture-perfect engagement!

Anna never imagined herself having a traditional wedding, so the couple is setting their sights on an elopement or destination wedding. They attended the Guide Winter Wedding Show to meet some vendors, and started planning soon after! Anna says, “I had tossed around the idea of either a wedding on a beach or in the mountains. I love warm weather and feeling the sand between my toes, so we went with the beach! We’re going to get married in the Bahamas. I’m excited to do something unique and make it into an adventure!” We'd love to sink our toes into the sand at that wedding!

The wedding will be quiet and intimate, which is exactly what Anna wanted. She explains, “What is going to be special about our wedding is how intimate it is going to be. And the unique location!”

When it comes to advice, Anna says the best thing you can do for your wedding is research. She adds, “Use your resources (i.e. going to a wedding planning show/expo and looking at bridal magazines), and definitely ask your family and friends for their recommendations/experiences. Look at the reviews of vendors/venues online before you chose them.” We love how resourceful this couple is by using the people and resources around them to provide the best for their big day!
