THE DECOR

Planners, inspired by the beauty of the venue, chose the color palette of blush, marsala and gold to accentuate the vintage appeal of the location. Blush and gold mercury glass vessels and candle votives are used alongside gold chargers, blush linens with pops of gold, vintage books and clocks.

THE VENUE

Built in 1831 as part of Lafayette’s first luxury hotel, the Historic Lahr Atrium provides drama with an Italian marble staircase as a backdrop for beautiful downtown weddings. The space is filled with natural light.

The gowns

One dress was not enough for this shoot! The three gowns included a lace trumpet gown with a detachable tulle skirt by Beccar; a tulle fit and flare gown by Pronovias, and a tulle trumpet gown with silver threading, beading and pearls, also by Pronovias.

The floral

The garden roses, orchids and ranuculus represent weddings quite well, but the dark plum calla lilies with a gold dusting are spectacular. Feathers and glitzy embellishments add a special touch.

Soft and flowing waves serve as a complement to the beautiful gowns.
A headpiece and a more relaxed
updo were created for the reception.

MAKEUP

The inspiration for the makeup was the model’s natural beauty and captivating eyes. A deep wine lip color syncs perfectly with the dark plum calla lilies.

The cake and dessert table

The sweets table is adorned with a chalkboard-based cake, a glittery gold vintage cake and a blush, ruffled floral cake. Gold-glittered doughnuts, blush-colored macaroons with raspberry jam filling and blush-colored Whoppers add as much sweetness as one table can hold.
