A Boho Beach E-Session for a Musical Couple: The Engagement of Julia and Evan

After attending one of Julia's shows where she played guitar, Evan hopped in her Jeep. Bewildered by Evan's actions, Julia got into a small fender-bender. Since then, they've been inseparable. For the proposal, Evan took Julia on a tour of shops while giving her gifts along the way, ending in one of her favorite childhood spots: Krider Gardens. With one final walk up to a beautifully decorated gazebo, Evan proposed with Julia's sisters and friends around recording!
 

For a year prior to their engagement, Julia and Evan had an IOS folder that they shared that included ideas of what Julia wanted an engagement ring to look like. Evan then worked with the jeweler to come up with something that matched Julia's vision. Julia gushes, "I love that he ran with the pear-shaped diamond as it’s so very unique. The diamonds are set in platinum and the rest of the ring is yellow gold. With the nested style wedding bands, it is beautifully unique with a vintage flair."
 

When looking at photographers for their engagement session and wedding, Julia and Evan knew they wanted someone with artistic style that would curate special photos for them. "Adina at Thistle and Lace Photography has been a friend since childhood," Julia explains. "She’s been one of the biggest fans and supporters of 'us' and I knew she would pour her heart into the project." Adina also recommended their location for the session and helped Julia find the perfect dress for the occasion!
 

The couple had a small engagement window and their wedding planning focus was quickly shifted into what really mattered. "Having our children, families and friends all together to celebrate was definitely top of the list," Julia shares.
