We know your wedding day is important, and a large part of it is because of the people you’ll be spending the day with! Your girls have been there with you through thick and thin, and you deserve to have a little fun with them before the big day! That’s why we love this styled shoot - it’s a blend of bohemian, mid-century modern, and minimalism - using cost-effective items that you can take advantage of too.

Inspired by the Rising Tide Society’s group in Detroit, a few creative minds came together and created this fun source of inspiration for you as you plan your own big day. And can we all just agree that it is GORGEOUS!

Martha of Made Floral created organic and wild, yet modern floral arrangements for the tablescape and lounge area using geometric copper terrariums, bud vases, and the sweetest little glass cloche. She also decorated the bar cart with greenery and provided loose stems for the cake and bridesmaids’ hair. She went with romantic flowers in neutral tones of ivory, blush, and burgundy.

Farmington Hills’ warehouse space had just the right amount of industrial and vintage ambiance that the RTS Detroit team was looking for with the eclectic bohemian style of the shoot. It wasn’t too finished or polished and was neutral enough to let each of the models pop.

Katrina of Blushed Design, hand-painted the metallic copper accents on the invitation suite, menus, and place cards to replicate a foil effect and it turned out beautifully! The creative team also decided on a black envelope which served to ground the neutrals and copper. Copper was emerging as a hot trend over the spring and summer months, so the team wanted to incorporate it over gold. We think that was a solid choice!

Pixie Dust Events picked up a three-tier wedding cake and small desserts from Sam’s Club! It was a cost-effective way to show a dessert set-up and an alternative to purchasing from a bakery. The cake was simply decorated in buttercream. Made Floral added greenery and flowers to it for the finishing touch.

The décor rentals came from a variety of places. Aimee of Modernly Events, Kaylin of A Touch of Whimsy Events, and Pixie Dust Events purchased some extra décor pieces as final accents. Modernly Events provided the majority of the rentals, including the custom modern farm table with hairpin legs and the mix of seating. In addition, they also provided the shag rug, an assortment of knit and patterned pillows, fur throws, a mid-century modern coffee table and the bar cart for the cake display. A Touch of Whimsy contributed the table glassware and cake stand and Pixie Dust Events provided several decorative accessories.
