A Chicago Floral Fairytale: The Real Wedding of Taylor and Jen Kelly-Whiting

Jen and Taylor knew they wanted their wedding to be outside and Chicago Botanic Gardens offered numerous gorgeous locales to bring their dream celebration to life. The happy couple was sold on this venue by the idea of an elegant and private cocktail hour, but the reception space is what sealed the deal thanks to the prospect of a beautiful sunset over the water! The venue is what ultimately inspired their dream of being surrounded by greenery and nature and their talented vendor team brought it to life perfectly. “We were so lucky to have the best vendors in the city! Truly, our day was made special because of the amazing team we had to bring it all together!” Jen and Taylor rave. It was also a family effort. From making centerpieces to helping with jewelry, both families contributed in making the big day a success!

 

Advice from the Couple

“If you’re able to, get a planner. Take the time to find someone who will get to know you and cares about your vision. Listen to the recommendation of others, but use them for your own vision. Be sure to take a deep breath. Even if things don’t go exactly as planned, you still get to marry the person of your dreams in front of the people you love most. Try to slow down and enjoy your day, it all goes by so fast! Oh, and don’t forget to eat a piece of the cake!”
