When Brenda Pottinger of Pottinger Photography approached Dana Renae Designs, she knew she wanted to create a gorgeous, elegant shoot at a lavender farm. Dana says, "She had an elegant and romantic vision for this family-run lavender farm. She really wanted to capture the romance between a real couple within their fields.” A team quickly came together to design a shoot that would display the natural beauty of the farm.

“With lavender in bloom, it was the perfect opportunity to capture the natural beauty of this property,” adds Dana. “The property is located out in the country, but it is lovely.” The lush fields made for an idealistic spot where any two people could feel completely enamored!

The team wanted an elegant and classic bridal look. The bride wore a Maggie Sottero gown from Blush Bridal. It offered soft, lace detail and a delicate cut for a perfectly feminine look. Dana says, “The bride model captured the romance of the day!”

The team combined different textures and colors to bring the theme to life. Utilizing metals along with traditional pieces like bone china gave the shoot a regal, upscale feeling. It also served as a juxtaposition to the rural setting, showing that an elegant wedding is possible anywhere. Dana notes, “We had a mix of decor rentals for the table and custom made details to create this truly unique shoot. The tableware included gold studded chargers, fancy flatware, bone china, rich jewel-toned napkins and royal goblets.”

We love that the team took extra care in all the little details. “There were so many intricate details on the farm table,” says Dana. “From the custom engraved monogram on the menu and cheese board to the gourmet selection of Authentic Italian food.” There was something about the combination of rustic allure and modern styled design that made this style shoot something to die for.
