A Classic, Timeless Green House Celebration in South Bend, Indiana: The Real Wedding of Alexandra and Austin Huff

When Alexandra and Austin both decided to swipe right on an online dating app three and a half years ago, they didn't realize they were going to be meeting their forever person. Austin proposed during family photos while they were on a family vacation in Virginia Beach!

Alexandra went into dress shopping knowing that she wanted a dress that wouldn't overwhelm her figure. "I'm petite and needed a dress that didn't drown me!" Alexandra shares. She was able to find the perfect gown for her at America's Bride while she was living in Grand Rapids. We love the simplistic elegance of the sheath dress she chose!

Once they were engaged, Austin and Alexandra went to work on finding the perfect vendors for their wedding. Google was their best friend in finding vendors as well as family and friend recommendations. "My maid of honor works in design and reviewed Instagram profiles," Alexandra explains. "We also had multiple family connections in South Bend."

One of those family connections was with their desired venue. Alexandra says, "Austin's sister, Abbey Yoder, was also married there." It was the simplicity and beauty of the venue that drew the happy couple to it. We love how the lush greenery feels like an exotic destination right here in the Midwest! It also helped them bring their low-key and intimate wedding to life in what felt like a private garden.

What We Love

To Austin and Alexandra, their unity ceremony was going to be one of the most important parts of their wedding. "The candle/unity lighting was special for us to signify the blending of our lives and families."

Advice from the Couple

Alexandra and Austin advise, "Simplicity is key! Also, whatever your budget is, plan for unexpected expenses the week of."
