Coffee and Donuts are the Best Dessert for this Romantic, Autumnal Lakeside Style Shoot!

This stunning Southwest Michigan venue, North Lake Weddings and Events, was the whole inspiration for this shoot. "We wanted to highlight how cozy and relaxing yet luxurious this venue is on a private lake," Danelle of North Lake Weddings and Events and Karla of True Colors Photography explain. They were inspired by a boho hat and ran with the rustic and country style with a bit of a vintage twist!

With a warm wooden interior and dazzling wrought-iron chandeliers, this venue was the perfect setting for this shoot! There are plenty of rustic touches in and around the space without taking away from the lavish feel of the venue. No matter what the theme of your wedding is, North Lake Weddings + Events can accommodate it!

Take a look at that stunning dress! Danelle and Karla share, "We were inspired by the backless style dress. Our main goal was for our model to feel confident." How could a bride not feel confident in that dress and flawless makeup? The lace details on the gown lend beautifully to the rustic side of the shoot while the silhouette is incredibly elegant. And we love the addition of the boho hat to match her bohemian hair style with loose curls and braids!

The color palette not only complements the venue but also perfectly shows off the gorgeous fall colors. We love the red velvet chairs and how regal they make the dinner table look. The subtle gold touches on the tablescape and dessert table amplify the luxury of the scene, as do the crystal glasses. Danelle and Karla explained their vision to their rental team and allowed them to choose what they thought was best. We think the entire team nailed this shoot! We also love the decision to use donuts in place of a cake because nothing shouts fall like coffee and donuts!

As for the flowers decorating this scene, Danelle and Karla also let the florist choose what would look best. "They are gorgeous!" the team raves. "We let our florist have full control of picking the florals." She decided on mostly roses. These iconic flowers of love look beautiful in this scene and are truly as elegant as the venue is. The dusty rose color fits the rustic theme and complements the fall colors beautifully!
