Natalia and Paul were friends in college but didn’t start dating until they teamed up in their Organic Chemistry course. “I guess you could say we learned chemistry scientifically and found it between the two of us,” she jokes. Paul wanted to add extra sentiment to his proposal, so he proposed at the restaurant where they went out on their first date.

The couple wanted an outdoor themed wedding, without actually having it outdoors due to the heat. “We tried to find ways to bring the garden indoors while saving money,” Natalia says. “I made decorations all year long up to our wedding day; spray painting candles, making terrariums out of dowel rods and setting up how the reception would look.”

What we love

Paul and Natalia took a moment during their wedding day to sneak away and have time for themselves. “Some brides might say they think this takes away the emotions from the groom, but Paul said it allowed him to free his emotions while on stage,” Natalia notes.

Advice from the couple

Natalia encourages brides not to get caught up on the things that go wrong. “You will still be married to the love of your life, no matter how it happens,” she says. “So enjoy the moment and take it in. The day doesn’t last long but the lifetime will.”
