A PASSION FOR COOKING

With over ten years of experience in the food industry, Chef Carlos Casadio dazzles the Gillespie Conference Center wedding guests by presenting them with cuisine to evoke their senses. He discovered his passion for cooking during early childhood years growing up in Venezuela. After relocating to the United States in 2000, Chef Carlos decided to turn his passion into a career by changing his college major from Electronics Engineering to Culinary Arts. Since earning his degree, Chef Carlos has presented his culinary work locally, as well as nationally as he was one of the Executive Traveling Chefs for the BCS Championship Game and Sugar Bowl game in 2008 as well as the 2009 NBA All star game at the Superdome in New Orleans, LA. He joined the Gillespie Conference and Special Events Center team in 2009, and became Executive Chef for The Hilton Garden Inn, Gillespie Conference Center as well as Bistro 933 in 2010.
 
 
 
 
 

CUSTOMIZING A MENU

As Executive Chef, Carlos Casadio makes it his priority to provide the bride and groom with the best culinary experience possible. With the understanding that each wedding is unique, he personally works with each couple to accommodate specific requests by providing customized menus. The bride and groom will receive the one of a kind opportunity to participate in a chef’s table. Chef Carlos invites couples into his kitchen to indulge in an evening of culinary pleasure as he presents them with a variety of hors d’oeuvres, and entrees to enjoy.  It is also during the chef’s table experience that Chef Carlos answers questions, and discusses with each couple the endless possibilities to offer to their guests on their special day.
