When Jimmy played Michael Myers in a parody play of Halloween, Anessa was cast as one of his victims. The two fell in love while practicing for this play. Since both of them are big Disney fans, and Anessa had never been to Disney World, Jimmy took her there for her birthday to get the best setting for his proposal. "We enjoyed a wonderful dinner inside Cinderella's castle, and after dessert, he popped out a ring, which I later learned he'd been carrying in his backpack for the past three days—I'd almost uncovered it a couple times! It was a perfect evening," Anessa gushes.

Jimmy surprised Anessa with the ring he chose all by himself when he proposed. "I had no idea he'd even been looking," Anessa admits. "It's silver and shaped like Mickey Mouse, and I absolutely love it." Dressed up or matching casual clothing like that cozy navy cardigan Anessa is wearing, this ring is absolutely stunning! We love that they were able to combine one of their loves into something that represents their love for each other.

Wanting to incorporate their dog, Murdock Brown, into the engagement session, Anessa and Jimmy had to be mindful of picking a location that was dog-friendly. They decided to go off the beaten path and chose to have their photos taken in a dog park since they knew it wouldn't be too busy and Murdock Brown would be allowed. The only thing left was to find a photographer. Luckily, Jessie Silva, the photographer who captured Aness'a best friend's wedding, was available. Anessa raves, "We had a BLAST! I love that when I go through our engagement album. We have stories behind all of the photos because we created real memories in those moments."

Even though Anessa didn't know what she wanted with her wedding when she first started planning and claims to be indecisive, they've been pleased with how well the wedding planning process has been going. "I started looking at inspiration photos and saving the ones I liked, and I was pleasantly surprised to find it's been pretty easy to pull our vision together! We've been working really well together on making decisions and sharing the work, and are having a lot of fun in the process," Anessa shares. Since they are both creative and tend to be Type A personalities, they are in a good place for their timeline and very organized with the wedding planning.
