A Dreamy Outdoor Michigan Wedding: The Wedding of Emily and Brett Walters

Emily and Brett met while working at the same hospital. Emily says, “I wouldn’t say love at first sight, but I was intrigued at first sight.” That intrigue eventually led to a romantic proposal. Emily and Brett began planning a wedding that was simple and would reflect them as a couple.
 

“Most importantly, we wanted just close friends and family to attend our wedding celebration and we wanted a laid back, romantic outdoor venue,“ she says. “A venue that had natural beauty and was simple but elegant.” Their dream venue ended up being Fox Hills. Emily adds, “We chose their Summerhouse venue because it was outdoors, they had hanging lights, great location, beautiful surroundings and it’s just a simple but beautiful venue.”

Emily wanted to find a dress that would be as ethereal as her outdoor wedding. She ended up finding it at B. Ella Bridal. She adds. “I went to B. Ella Bridal because I knew they carried this designer who I had been looking up online. Right away I saw the dress, tried it on and knew it was the one!” Her two-piece dress offered delicate, lace details along with a full skirt for a romantic flair.

Advice from the bride

“I would tell brides to be themselves and not stress about the small things because they don’t matter,” says Emily. “Take time to embrace every moment, during the wedding and reception I would take small moments and look around to see smiling faces, people hugging, people laughing and people dancing.”
