Please tell us a little more about The Silo Banquets and Catering.

"We’re located just South of Allegan where our priority is making sure the wedding planning process is as stress-free as possible. We specialize in weddings and rehearsal dinners, however, we can also provide space and event services for anniversary and birthday celebrations, reunions, social gatherings, corporate events and holiday parties. Our Grand Ballroom provides accommodations up to 300 guests and can be divided into two separate rooms for smaller events. The vaulted ceiling, full balcony with two winding staircases and panoramic windows are a perfect backdrop for an exquisite evening of celebration with family and friends."

What sets you apart from others? Why should a bride choose you?

"We may look like a barn on the outside but inside we have a beautiful ballroom with a 24’ x 24’ dance floor and lighted canopy. Unlike other barn venues, we have air conditioning for those hot summer nights and heat for those cold winter days which allow us to host weddings and events year-round! When a bride books with us here at The Silo, they are not only getting a beautiful facility to host their wedding ceremony and reception but an event team that is dedicated to providing the most stress-free wedding planning process as possible. I (Sam) am here with our brides and grooms from start to finish making sure everything is going as smooth as possible. Our Banquet Manager Audrie is also here the day of making sure the staff is providing the most professional service, the vendors are arriving and setting up when they are expected to be and everything is staying to the timeline that we help set up. Wedding planning does not have to be stressful, it’s a fun, exciting time in a bride's life. They should not have to feel overwhelmed by the experience and that’s why we’re here!"
 

Do you have anything exciting that you would like to share?

"We host a few different events every year that are open to the public such as our spring and fall wine tastings, our Easter Buffet (reservations required) and our Thanksgiving-to-Go Meals (pre-order required). We also offer our famous (Grill House) prime ribs to go. If you are not familiar with our prime rib you can always stop by our restaurant The Grill House on Saturdays for fresh cut prime rib. What do you love most about working with couples?

"I love the uniqueness of every love story! My favorite thing to ask each one of my couples is how they got engaged–did she or he know it was coming? It tells me a lot about them as a couple. Is he romantic? Does she like to surprise him? Everyone has a love story to tell and no two stories are the same just like no two weddings are the same."
