An Elegant Summer Soirée: WeddingDay’s Exclusive Chicago Cover Shoot

Photos ByBuenas Vibras Photography

The Vision

After seeing the elegance of The Monte Bello Estate, Michelle from Unveiled Weddings and Events knew she wanted to design off the feel of the space. “I immediately thought of an elegant summer estate soirée after a venue site tour,” Michelle shares. “Using colorful floral against the all-white venue with floor to ceiling windows was a must.” The natural light and beautiful design allowed Buenas Vibras Photography to capture absolutely breathtaking photos!

The Venue

Every detail in The Monte Bello Estate is dripping with elegance—from the indoor space with the brilliant floor to ceiling windows to the gorgeous gardenscape outside. Michelle raves, “The Estate was the perfect location for this shoot. It screams elegant villa soirée.” The only issue the day of the shoot was the 90 degree heat that the team had to work and preserve flowers through. However, you'd never know because this all-star team pulled together the most picture-perfect scene flawlessly!

The Decor

Light and airy was the goal for this shoot with a cream, yellow, apricot and dusty blue color scheme. The team utilized lots of candlesticks, glassware, porcelain plates and chiavari chairs to amplify the elegance of the space. The linens also matched the color palette and added a unique texture into the shoot. A grazing table filled to the brim with all kinds of scrumptious snacks added a bit of fun!

The Florals

Unveiled also curated the stunning floral designs for the shoot. Being the highlight of the setup, Michelle knew she needed something that would stand out in this elegant scene. “We used bright and colorful varieties of roses and ranunculus,” Michelle explains. “It was really important to reflect a warm summer day, and I thought the palette should pop off the all-white backgrounds and greenery on the property.”

The Looks

Have you ever seen a more dashing bride and groom? The one-shoulder, fit-and-flare gown is the perfect fit and style for this shoot. It’s elegant and modern but doesn't distract from the rest of the setup even though the scalloped lace train is absolutely show-stopping. The bride’s makeup was kept light with a shimmery eye shadow and subtle apricot hues to tie the look to the shoot. And the groom looks so dapper in his light blue suit from SuitShop!

The Stationery & Signage

Zé Design Studio created a gorgeous invitation suite that pulled all the design details together. "We asked for a beautiful floral pattern and dusty blue envelope to reflect the palette," Michelle shares. "I think she nailed it and then some." The addition of uniquely shaped signage added an element of fun to this elegant shoot!

The Cake

We can’t believe this cake is edible! The textured design and the cascading florals on the four-tiered masterpiece from Azucar Rococo are the perfect elegant touches to this upscale shoot. However, the luxury does not end with the exterior. The marbled design on the inside of the cake continues the elegance!
