Cher Goggins from Merry Me! reports back from one of the nation’s most exclusive luxury wedding business summits with tips from celebrity planners and favorite 2012 trends.

I was thrilled to have the opportunity to attend Engage 2011 business summit in the Cayman Islands. This three-day event included daily seminars from the most recognizable, A-list wedding planners, designers and note worthy faces in the wedding industry.

Engage began just three years ago with sold out attendance from the start. The goal is to provide a gathering of the ‘best of the best’ in the wedding industry with attention to creating an intimate atmosphere for networking, allowing for an open exchange of ideas, information and inspiration.

The stage was set with a classroom style platform for many industry moguls to share their ideas and offer their successful tricks of the trade.

Some of this years’ speakers included:
Darcy Miller, Editorial Director, Martha Stewart Weddings
Randy Fenoli, Star of TLC’s “Say Yes to the Dress”, Author, Fashion Director, Kleinfeld
Mindy Weiss, Celebrity Party Planner, Author of “The Wedding Book”
Carley Roney, Founder, Editor of The Knot, XO Group Inc.
Millie Bratten, Editor-in-Chief, Brides Magazine
