WINTER

Typical Flower: Calla Lilies & Roses are what you might often find in a winter bouquet.
 
Atypical Flower: Tulips are in season from December until June and will add that much needed pop of color.
 
Color: Be creative, everything goes with White!
 
Natural Accents: Lamb’s Ear, Snowberries, Jasmine, Feathers, & Pinecones are some seasonal, natural accents.
 
Do’s: Do add non traditional items to your bouquet and centerpieces, like the natures accents described above. By using these items that are in season this will keep your costs on floral down. Try using pinecones and snowberries to make your winter wonderland pop!
 
Don’ts: Don’t feel as if you need to stick with holiday decor, or the usual red & white. Winter is a beautiful time that can be described by many colors. Let this majestic season inspire you.
 
 
 
 
 

SPRING

Typical Flower: Hydrangeas are what you might often find in a spring bouquet.
 
Atypical Flower: Peonies are the state flower of Indiana and offer a beautiful large bloom for your spring floral.
 
Color: Peach is a stunning color for the spring, it has a light freshness that is not seen everywhere.
 
Natural Accents: Fresh herbs, river rocks & cherry blossoms. Cherry blossoms are well placed on chuppahs, alters and archways. 
 
Do’s: Do add multitudes of color, bright and vibrant is the way to go for this beautiful season. Don’t let your self get stuck in pastels, its not an Easter party. 
 
Don’ts: Don’t pick overly pungent flowers, many people suffer from allergies and the spring brings out the worst in them. Let your guests tear up from the joy of your wedding not their allergies. 
 
 
 

SUMMER

Typical Flower: Topical flowers, like the Hibiscus.
 
Atypical Flower: Sunflowers will add a lot of oomph to your bouquet and will reduce the need of a lot of flowers which will lower your costs. 
 
Color: Yellow brings out the beauty in the summer sun. 
 
Natural Accents: Go big or go home this season, play with the colors of the wedding and step outside of the box. Want to turn up the heat on your wedding? Try using our prickly friends succulents, they add that bit of spice into your reception. 
 
Do’s: Do pick floral that will survive the summer heat, especially if it is all outdoor wedding. You don’t want your flowers wilting on your special day. 
 
Don’ts: Don’t go overboard, seeing as all the floral you could dream of is in season you don’t want your wedding looking like a hodgepodge.
 
 
 
 
 

FALL

Typical Flower: Specialty roses, such as Terra Cotta, Black Magic & Hocus Pocus.
 
Atypical Flower: Dahlias have over 36 different species, good for any color palate. The Aztecs used this floral for ceremonial purposes. 
 
Color: Rich hues are beautiful and look into using two toned floral. 
 
Natural Accents: Leaves, autumn is so beautiful because of the trees turning colors. Play on this beauty by using fresh leaves in your bouquet and centerpieces. 
 
Do’s: Do look into using grapevine, curly willow and copper wire in bouquets and centerpieces to bring out autumnal tones. 
 
Don’ts: Don’t only use rich hues, lighten up your floral with a pop of color that may seem a tad bit off the beaten path. Your guests will enjoy that last breath of summer in your floral.
