Rachel and Danny connected on Hinge before Rachel discovered that her roommate worked with Danny and he lived in the apartment complex next to them. They began watching football on Sundays and attended a Halloween party in matching costumes as their first date. Danny proposed to Rachel at her hometown Christmas light show after kissing her under a mistletoe arch. Rachel gushes, "He was so sweet to plan the engagement in my hometown so that my family could be there for the special moment!"

"Danny had some help from me when picking out the ring. However, I was not there when he bought it!" Rachel shares. "My favorite thing about the ring is that it matched exactly what I had envisioned without me ever seeing it until the proposal." Danny and Rachel went shopping for an engagement ring to get the right size for Rachel, and she gave a little input. She wanted a pearl-cut diamond with a halo, and Danny, with the help of his mom, knocked it out of the park!

Since Cody from Rogue Images Photography was already their wedding photographer, Rachel and Danny wanted to utilize his service for their engagement session photos, too. "When we were initially choosing a wedding photographer, we were so in awe by how he captured the beauty of weddings and just knew we wanted him to take our photos. We love the engagement pictures he took and we cannot wait to work with him for the wedding as well," Rachel raves. After picking up their marriage license, the two decided to have their engagement photos taken due to the significance of getting their marriage license. Cody even suggested getting a quick snack of ice cream to add some fun to the photography.

Rachel has a wedding board on Pinterest and knows she wants a sage and gold color scheme for her wedding. Danny graduated from Texas A&M, so he asked if she could add in some maroon, too. Rachel loved the idea! They do live in Texas but are getting married in Fishers, Indiana, so Rachel's mom has been helping with the planning process. "She is doing an amazing job and is helping us so much with everything. We are eternally grateful to her for all of the work and detail she is putting into our special day. We would not be able to do the planning and have it all come together as beautifully as it is without her!" Rachel raves.
