Amanda and Patrick met in 2008 at Wayne State University. Patrick was known as the “cute North Face boy” by all of Amanda’s friends. She says, “I would notice him when he visited my place of work.” It was not long before they went out.

Amanda was away on a girl’s trip to Denver when Patrick proposed. It was a complete surprise as Amanda says, “One night we got glammed up for a night out on the town and went to the Denver Union Train Station in downtown Denver. We were taking a picture in front of the station when I received a tap on the shoulder. Low and behold, it was Patrick. He got down on one knee and asked me for my hand in marriage!” Patrick had even arranged to have a photographer there and it was a perfect surprise!

Amanda adores her engagement ring. “When it came to the ring, simplicity was key,” she says. “I wanted an oval with diamonds surrounding it on a diamond band. I posted multiple photos of what I wanted on my Pinterest wedding board and that’s how Patrick discovered what I wanted.”

Amanda found Stefanie Russo Photography to capture her engagement session at a wedding expo. “I really connected with her,” Amanda adds. “She had such a free-spirited personality and was so easy to talk to. Her prices weren’t outrageously high either, so I immediately booked a consultation with her and met with her at her studio.” Amanda booked her right away for her engagement session and wedding!

When it comes to the planning, Amanda is taking it step by step. She adds, “It’s certainly time-consuming but when parts start to come together, it’s a great feeling, like all my hard work is worth it!”
