After meeting online and dating for a while, Mike asked Tina to go shopping with him in Illinois. Little did she know he had something much bigger planned. On the trip, they were pulled over due to their vehicle matching the description of one reported to have a reckless driver. While getting out of the car, Mike dropped to one knee and asked Tina to marry him. Talk about an elaborate set up!

Tina wasn't sure what she wanted when she went to her dress appointment. "All I knew for sure was that I wanted lace sleeves," Tina shares. "The dress I chose was actually the second dress I tried on that day." Though she tried on several others, the second dress was the one. When Tina came out of the dressing room, her friends and family were moved to tears by how stunning she looked. We agree that she makes a beautiful bride!

The first thing Tina did was ask her bridesmaids to join her bridal party. As soon as the party was complete, Tina threw herself into the planning process. With a combination of a wedding planner friend, pinning on Pinterest and utilizing wedding websites, Tina was more than ready to dig into planning. Although Tina does admit juggling work, personal life and wedding planning all at once was a little difficult at times. Your Little Details was a huge help to bring this stunning day together without a hitch!

When it came to the theme, both Tina and Mike knew what they wanted to incorporate. "We’re really big Game of Thrones fans, and we threw little details from the show here and there. We also made our wedding gothic-themed," Tina raves. They even asked their guests to wear black attire to help the theme really come to life! Tina and her mom were even able to make many of the décor items!

What we love

The way Tina and Mike found vendors came through recommendations from the ones they'd already booked. As Tina explains, "They were two hours away and we were unfamiliar with the area." Since her photographer, Cari Hughes Photographer, was a good friend of Tina's, she trusted Cari's judgment, The venue was also ready to step in and recommend vendors to make their dream a reality!

Advice from the couple

Tina advises, "Do what makes you happy, not what makes anyone else happy."
