Get lost in the rustic, industrial elements with this romantic and natural style shoot! The idea came from Kate of Valley and Oak Events, who wanted to include some subtle southern details in a Michigan shoot. We love this organic and woodsy aesthetic!

As soon as the team saw this gown at BIANKA Bridal, they knew it would be a pivotal point in the design process. “It was really the final inspiration piece for the vision,” admits Kate. “We wanted a wedding day glow with natural elegance.” Pairing that with the sweet, soft tones of the model’s makeup, and the vision was completed! The model's voluminous ‘do was inspired by glam giant Marilyn Monroe.

One of the key drawing points to this venue was the warm tones it offered. We love the way the team highlighted the exposed brick! “I loved the aspect of the rough edges of brick paired with the polished gown and table settings,” Kate adds. The added touch of brass candlesticks and taper candles to tie a touch of gold into the cool blue and green color palette!

According to Valley & Oak Events, it was purely unintentional that the Pantone Color of the Year, Classic Blue, was threaded throughout this shoot. Kate says, “I believe a styled shoot should transcend the trends and be able to stand the test of time. I like to think adding in Classic Blue means I am ahead of the curve and hope to provide clients with the same edge!”

Kate wanted to draw on some winter-themed floral without getting wrapped up in the holiday. We love the tasteful additions of pine!
