In the midst of COVID, Heather from Heather Sherrill Photography wanted to brainstorm with her brides how to best pull off an intimate outdoor wedding. She was blown away with an opportunity just outside of Indianapolis. "Did you know that right here just outside of Indy you can have a lakeside, beach wedding?" Heather gushes. Whether you want the farm or the beach, this venue is perfect for you!

The venue was a perfect find for the style shoot Heather wanted to create. She explains, "The lake is nestled in between rolling hills and a beautiful building with an oversized deck where people can eat and drink!" The beach is another major perk because it's a blank slate that can almost feel like a destination wedding without leaving the Midwest.

Since the venue was a canvas waiting to be painted, Heather could choose any theme she wanted. The team decided to go with an elegant but simple design. We love the florals running through the entire shoot. In fact, that was Heather's goal. She wanted a stunning bouquet with high-end florals and similar flowers leading from the ceremony to the reception and everything in between.

One of the dresses used in this shoot was actually custom-made! "This dress is made custom and can have a train as long as you want. The veil is an almond color, and pairs so perfectly with the dress!" Heather raves. We think it goes beautifully with this shoot and is a simple counterpart to the other gowns in the shoot. Both brides look show-stopping in their attire!

Look at that incredible tablescape! We are obsessed with the contrasting yellow and purple hues that line the table. It is the perfect combination of rustic elegance. The wooden table and serving plates complement the glassware and fine china at each place setting. This style shoot perfectly balances simplicity and high-end design. The food cart is also a fun twist on a traditional meal!
