These two thespians met doing what they love best: acting on stage in a local theatre. When sparks flew off the stage, Betsy and Ryan knew what they had was special. Ryan’s Christmas proposal was a complete surprise to Besty. “I cried,” she remembers. “It was completely unexpected and perfect.”

After the engagement, Betsy quickly ordered her dress online. When it came in the mail, she started to second guess the dress and decided to go with a different style. We love the unique layers of the gown she !

This pair already knew what they wanted for their wedding: an intimate and detailed ceremony, surrounded by their friends and family. They picked out their first available weekend and decided to go for it! Instagram and WeddingDay helped this pair find most of their vendors, but they found their venue by driving by it by chance. “It has a stage on the third floor that’s original to the building, and with Ryan and I being actors, that sealed the deal,” Betsy notes.

What we love

Betsy and Ryan went on plenty of brunch dates, so they knew they had to have breakfast for dinner! Betsy says, “When breakfast for dinner presented itself as an option we thought, ‘why not?’ It ended up being a huge hit, our family and friends loved it.”

Advice from the couple

“I also can’t stress enough how important it was to hire people who know what they’re doing,” Betsy says. “We hired true artists, from our photographer to my hair and makeup dream team, and of course, our florist. I honestly put a lot of my faith in them and let them work their magic, and they delivered. It made my life so much easier and made the day of practically stress-free.”
