One last login to Match.com allowed Lauren and Bryce to ignite the spark that would last for a lifetime. After several easy phone calls, they met in person with zero hitches. During a romantic trip to Michigan, Bryce found his perfect opportunity to propose at Holland State Park Beach during sunset.

Lauren didn’t know what she wanted in a dress besides the fact that she wanted to feel beautiful. “This was the last dress I tried on when our appointment was almost over, and I fell in love with how it moved when I put it on,” Lauren says.

Bryce and Lauren didn’t begin planning right away, due to COVID-19. Once they did begin planning, they knew spring was the season they wanted, so they got in touch with their photographer, Zoe Jane Studios, and scheduled everything else from there.

Their two families contributed as much as possible to make sure Bryce and Lauren’s wedding day could be special. Bryce’s mom made their cake and picked out the flowers while Lauren’s dad was able to give them a connection for catering. The only vendor they needed to find was their photographer, Zoe Jane Studios, who came very highly recommended. Lauren adds, “I got really lucky when it came to vendors.”

Lauren also had a special connection to their venue. “My venue was super special because I helped design it at my company,” Lauren explains. “It’s not often you can say that you had a reception in a space that you helped design.” Their favorite detail was the way the rooftop overlooks Indianapolis, which is extremely beautiful at night.

What We Love

Bryce’s best friend officiated the ceremony for the couple. “We asked my husband’s best friend to officiate - so he made our ceremony so special and tailored to us and our relationship. We also wrote our own vows, so the ceremony was very intimate, very romantic and very unique,” Lauren gushes.

Advice from the Couple

Lauren advises, “This day is about you and your significant other, so don’t worry about the details or if something didn’t go exactly to plan. Have fun and enjoy yourselves!”
