Dreaming of a classy European wedding, complete with gorgeous vineyards and natural surroundings? Look no further than the Midwest for your picturesque nuptials! Arielle Peters of Arielle Peters Photography envisioned an outdoor wedding with an Italian vineyard feel to it and found her ideal location right here in Indiana. “We were picturing rows of bushes filled with fruit and an elegant couple found in between them,” Arielle says. “We really desired to bring the beauty of Europe to the Midwest. We ultimately wanted to show that with the right venue and style, you could create a wedding that transports you to another place.”

The Blue Barn Berry Farm located in Syracuse had all the natural charm the team wanted, including a gorgeous palette of lush greens, blacks, blues and reds, courtesy of Mother Nature, of course! Falling in love instantly with all the delicious hues and aisles of berry bushes, the team had no doubt the farm brought the Italian vineyard look and feel they desired.

Trista Rose Miller of Rose’s Bouquets incorporated floral elements that added yet another dimension of elegance and beauty. White roses served as the main flowers in the bouquet while blue and greenery were added to complement the natural palette. Arielle says, “Our venue gave us beautiful tones to work with, but we wanted a bit of contrast. We decided to go with more pastel tones of black, blue, and red which were found in the bushes. We also wanted an accent color, so you will find a touch of gold throughout the elements. We like to say that we used a little color and a whole lot of nature!” Natural wood tones against the elegant place settings also provided stunning contrast.

For the team, finding just the right dress for the picturesque setting was important. The A-line V-neck gown from BHLDN offered a gorgeous open back, a lace bodice with floral detail and natural movement in the skirt. “We loved how it flowed along the grass as she walked through the aisles,” Arielle says. A chic updo and calm makeup tones completed the bride’s look.

Guided by some Pinterest board inspiration, Kelsey of Kelsey Malie Calligraphy blew the team away with her gorgeous invitation suite, menu and name tags. The cake, designed by Sassie Cakes, featured textured buttercream, sugar blueberries and white florals.

What we love

While the team aimed first at choosing a style shoot look they loved, they also incorporated some very lovely trends in doing so, including: a vintage-styled engagement ring, calligraphy, a black tux with a bowtie, and handmade ribbon and silk!
