Lavender Haze Disco: A Taylor Swift-Inspired Style Shoot

The inspiration for this shoot came from its planners wanting to show off their lavender collection. "Our vision was to create a fun and unique shoot," Kimberly Pochop, Event Manager at Nerdy Fox Rentals & Designs shares. "I envisioned a timeless and classic shoot with funky pops of disco." They also included plenty of nods to Taylor Swift once they saw all of the connections with their lavender rentals!
 

When looking for a place to host this shoot, the team wanted a blank slate to effectively show off their new rentals. Luckily, they were able to find The Balmoral House, which had recently been renovated with nice white walls to make all of their lavender décor pop! With the décor, the planning team was able to use all of their own rentals, so the shoot came out exactly how they envisioned it. Some of our favorite aspects are the multitude of disco balls across the scenes and all of the clear/glass details that bring an air of elegance into this shoot. Keep an eye out for the peach accents, too, to highlight the 2024 Pantone Color of the Year, Peach Fuzz!
 

One dress was not enough for this shoot, so the team ended up choosing three of them! Each dress brings a different element to this shoot. The lavender dress is one of our favorites as well as the design team's. Kimberly explains, "The Bridgerton Collection lavender dress gave us the color tie-in I dreamed of for a while, also giving us all the Love Story vibes." It brings an air of whimsy into the shoot. For the second gown, the team picked a dusty blue dress covered with large lacy flowers to add a romantic touch to the shoot. The final gown is the perfect dress for a reception! This short ivory dress is a fun look to dance the night away in!
 

This cake is a delicious masterpiece! "I was simply able to give them my vision board and I had full trust in them to make something absolutely amazing, and THEY DID!" Kimberly raves. This three-tiered, lavender-marble-iced cake marvels the eye. It sits on a stand made of disco balls and seems to defy gravity with a disco ball poised between the top and second tiers. We love the little silver butterfly embellishments on the cake as well!
 

There are so many fun and unique details that the creative team chose to include in this shoot. As a nod to Taylor Swift, the team chose to make purple heart sunglasses as the wedding favors and wrote everyone's name and their table number, 13, on them. They also included mirrors with lyrics from Taylor's Lover and the title of Meet Me at Midnight, which has a lavender haze music video. Some other fun details were the telephone guest book and bar service with delicious themed drinks from Poured to Perfection. Just look how tasty this Lavender Empress Sour, crafted with Empress gin, egg whites, lavender syrup and fresh lemon juice, looks!
