Boho babes, this one is for you! Mary-Kate Thomas, owner of Magnolia Birch Photography, had a dream of creating a bohemian shoot that highlighted a neutral palette behind some rustic and natural scenery. This intimate styled elopement is a dream come true for any couple ready to drop everything and get hitched!

This bride has a gorgeous “I woke up like this” glow, beautifully created by Wild Emerald Bridal. Her classically styled curls bring a touch of romance to her otherwise daring smokey eye look. We love a bride that can have the best of both worlds!

Mary-Kate had a specific style of gown in mind when planning this shoot; it had to have soft sophistication while staying true to the boho style. The lacy gown she chose perfectly matched her vision. “Between the colors of the attire to the colors that surrounded us at the waterfall, everything naturally and beautifully fell into place. Everything was perfect!”

This state park was a huge inspiration for Mary-Kate. She notes, “There was something particularly magical about this little waterfall that was tucked away in a small nook of Starved Rock. It was intimate, breathtaking and so peaceful.”

The greenery in the bride’s bouquet matches the rustic tones of the nature around her. Ferns were used to highlight some different textures and give this bouquet a truly unique look.
