After chatting with Caleb at her friend's Christmas party, Olivia gave him her number. Despite refusing a few dates, Olivia eventually agreed and talked with Caleb for four hours! Caleb took an opportunity to propose while Olivia was going up for a drive at TopGolf.
The first step for Caleb and Olivia was selecting a date for the wedding. Once that was solidified, Olivia shifted her focus to the venue and other vendors. "I’m very Type-A so I created very detailed lists and kept a wedding folder instead of using a traditional wedding planner," Olivia says. "I also made sure to ask our vendors for their opinions or recommendations." While planning, she also realized her dream wedding and took everything in a different direction.
The venue and dress came very easily to Olivia. "It is such a beautiful and elegant venue. We both couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else," Olivia raves. And, out of the seven dresses she tried on, Olivia knew which one she would be wearing on her wedding day as soon as she put it on. The rest of her vendors were excellent, too, whether they came by recommendation or Olivia found them on her own. Olivia gushes, "I may be biased, but we had to BEST vendors." One vendor they especially liked was DJ Joe Sheets!
And we think all the decor came together beautifully, thanks to their wedding designer and some ingenuity. Olivia made the signs herself after a mishap with one of the vendors, and her mom put together the centerpieces for the tables. One of the final decor touches is that simply scrumptious three-tiered cake. The best part is the way the cake ties to the other decor through the floral embellishments.
What We Love
Olivia and Caleb's daughter was the flower girl for their wedding, and her dress was special to the family. "I had her flower girl dress made out of my mom’s wedding dress. It was such a beautiful and sentimental touch to our day since we don’t have any family heirlooms," Olivia explains.
Advice From the Couple
Since Olivia did all the heavy lifting in planning her wedding, she knows best how difficult it can be. "Get a day-of wedding coordinator," Olivia advises. She also thinks a separate email for wedding information is super important, too, to keep everything related to your wedding organized.
