It was love at first lift with Megan and Braydon when they met at a gym! Because Megan was a part-time nursing student and a full-time single mom, the gym was her alone time...until she met Braydon! “I would catch myself thinking of him but would remind myself, ‘I’m not here to find a relationship!’ After months of walking past each other, he finally said 'Hey! You look familiar!' And that started it!” We love it when couples follow their hearts to find their true loves!

The couple got engaged at a winery surrounded by their friends and family. Megan recalls, “After a few songs had played, they played a love song that was dedicated to us, then he brought me forward, got down on one knee and could barely conjure up any words!”

Megan spent one day searching for a dress that lead her to three different locations before finally finding the one at The Wedding Studio. She gushes, “The Wedding Studio was our last stop and the last dress I tried on for the day was the one!” We’re fawning over Megan's beautiful hair and makeup by Something Blue Stylists, the bare shoulders of that dress...and the adorable mother-daughter pair these two make!

Something special about Megan and Braydon’s wedding is that it was a micro wedding contest, hosted by Plum & Poppy Weddings. Megan was pushed by her coworkers to enter, and was thrilled to see that she and Braydon had won with the jewel tones theme! Megan says, “The micro wedding was a huge cost saving for us, a lot of stress was taken off my shoulders because Sarah Agree from Plum & Poppy coordinated every detail. Everything  turned out so beautiful because all the vendors provided such high-quality results!” We love the rentals and linens provided by A Classic Party Rental!

While Megan originally had a different vision for her wedding, Sarah let her have input on much of the color palette to make her big day special in every day! She says, “After picking out which jewel tones I liked best, she coordinated with the other vendors to create the perfect color scheme for me! I absolutely loved how everything turned out!”

What we love

We love that this day meant more than a marriage bond--it was a familial one as well. Megan says, “This day for us meant so much more than just a wedding between Braydon and I. Our wedding day also represented a (step) father and daughter bond. For someone to step in your life and your child's life and love unconditionally speaks volumes. This wedding symbolized that family is more than just D.N.A.”

Megan was also incredibly grateful for the entire team involved in this process. “I can’t say enough how great everyone was to us, making it one of the best days of our lives!”
