Soul Creations Photography is a recently launched, Christ-inspired photography brand. The Soul Creations brand ignited the idea of a style shoot that painted the picture of a Christ-centered wedding, full of spiritual decor, Mediterranean dishes and Israeli floral. The shoot concept was appropriately named "Mediterranean Chic" and took much of its design inspiration from biblical times.

To bring this Mediterranean-style wedding to life, Soul Creations collaborated with planners Aisle Ready Events and Sparkles & Lace Events. They sought a rustic venue that could go beyond the typical barn wedding which made Emerald Acres Barn near Indianapolis the perfect setting. Alea Stanley, planner at Sparkles & Lace says that the venue's grounds and several distinct characteristics opened up the creative possibilities. "Each destination had its own personality, allowing the bride and groom to enter each with a different mood," says Alea. "The venue provided a backdrop with variety and character, allowing us to create an elegant wedding theme on top of it!"

Greenery abounded in this style shoot imitating the lush greenery from the Mediterranean. The floral were handcrafted by the Zionsville Flower Company and included flowers typically found in Israel such as lavender, eucalyptus, olive branches and heather. A prop stylist was consulted to add decor pieces that would bring out the venue's brick-lain floors. A Handcrafted Affair, located in Fishers, created a table design that was reminiscent of a Mediterranean dinner table. She brought in gold-rimmed plates, red wine glasses, gold chargers and a hand-stitched tablecloth to do so.

The food became part of the table design with gorgeous presentation. Traditional Mediterranean dishes like lamb cutlets, goat cheese on crustini and figs stuffed with marscarpone graced the table, thanks to the efforts by Jaquie's Catering. Classic Cakes in Carmel added to the presentation with a tiered naked cake subtly decorated with fresh heather and lavender.

The bride was dressed in a Greek goddess-style gown from Sophia's Bridal in Indianapolis. Not only was the dress fitting for the theme but the lace and expertly crafted embellishments accented her shoulders and hips. The soft and simple tulle skirt of the dress allowed it to maintain enough simplicity to fit in well with the natural surroundings of the barn venue. According to Alea, the hair and makeup was designed similarly. {The} hair and makeup were influenced by the theme with soft, wind-swept locks alongside natural makeup to recreate the essence of tame, yet powerfully beautiful women."
