This Modern Boho Style Shoot Showcases an Industrial Michigan Distillery

The idea for this gorgeous style shoot popped into Alesha of Follow Your Arrow Photography’s head when she saw the boho dress of her dreams. She rented it immediately, but because the dress was so popular, she had a long time to plan out the vision of the rest of her shoot. “My vision was bold colors for florals to coordinate with the mustard-colored dress and velvet,” Alesha explains. We can't wait to show you the lovely industrial style the team came up with!

The team wanted this bride’s boho vibe to coordinate well with the dress. Choosing to style her hair in an updo, this glamorous style showcases the open back of the gown and the model’s sparkling earrings.

The team wanted the theme of "industrial" to shine throughout all aspects of the shoot. Hosting the event at the gorgeous space at Journeyman Distillery seemed like the perfect fit due to the space's natural industrial aesthetic and architecture. “Journeyman was the perfect place for the industrial vibe,” Alesha notes. “From the old metal sliding doors all the way to the lights and everything in between; it was everything I could have imagined for the shoot.”

We love it when a cake matches a color scheme! The caramel drizzle paired with the gorgeous florals makes this confection made up of pure mouthwatering goodness. “I wanted a naked cake for this shoot,” Alesha adds. “I don’t feel like cakes need to be over-decorated to be stunning and this is a great example.”

Alesha and the team wanted to showcase a glamorous minimalist style. They bought all the decorations at thrift stores or Walmart. She explains, “This shoot was as simple as it comes yet so beautiful. I wanted to show brides that you don’t have to put a ton of money into details to make something stunning!”
