Brianna was out for her birthday when a mutual friend and dance instructor introduced her to KJ. They danced and talked until KJ found out Brianna had no real plans for her birthday and asked her on a first date. After a canceled flight changed KJ's proposal plans, he drove from Grand Rapids to Chicago to pick up Brianna and proposed to her at home.

"I gave him no guidance and he chose a gorgeous, rose gold engagement ring. I knew he would choose something amazing and I adore my ring," Brianna gushes. We love the intricately designed band with the additional gems! It's a stunning take on a traditional ring.

After posting a vision for her engagement session to a Michigan photographers' Facebook group Brianna is a part of, Brianna knew Chettara was the right fit. Brianna raves, "Many photographers responded but I fell in love with Chettara’s style. We connected and set up a day." KJ wanted Brianna to wear a black wedding gown, but she wanted to wear white. They compromised by wearing a gorgeous black dress for the engagement session and pairing it with a dashing suit.

Brianna went into wedding planning completely blind. "I never planned out my wedding because you never know where your life will be when you decide to get married," Brianna explains. "I wanted something extraordinary, so we are flying to Utah and getting married in Zion National Park with only a few close friends and family." The couple enjoys that they can skip over some of the smaller steps—like making wedding favors—with their mini elopement. It takes away some of the stress of planning a normal wedding.
