Nothing warms our hearts quite like high school sweethearts. Olivia and Cy are just that — an adorable couple who started way back when. Olivia says, “I cheered for him when he played football and basketball. Cy and I had a spark from the first time we met and continuously talked until one day he called me and asked me on a date.” It would not be until years later when they finally tied the knot.

Cy’s proposal was perfect for Olivia. Cy planned a special proposal at the Indian Hill Nature Preserve. The couple went on a small hike and then came upon an ultra-cute setup. Olivia says, “He then turned around and popped the question and I said ‘Yes!’ As soon as I said yes the rain stopped and we celebrated with champagne. We then went to his parents where both of our families surprised us to celebrate!”

Olivia and Cy were not sure what they wanted for their wedding. Olivia remarks, “We got to decide and choose what best represented both of us! This made the wedding planning process more fun for the both of and we got to discover what we both loved which made it more personable.” Ensuring that both of them were happy with the vision for the big day, they forged forward with the plans!

Olivia found her dream dress at Lace Bridal Couture. She says, “My sister found my dress and it was the first one that I tried on! We all fell in love!” The beautiful lace dress was ideal for the chic, brewery wedding they were planning.

What we love

We love that Olivia and Cy decided to reinvent some of the decorations for their wedding. Instead of using table numbers they used locations from around Cincinnati. Olivia adds, “Each place was significant to us and our relationship which made it special to us!”

Advice from the couple

Olivia and Cy say, “Have fun planning your wedding! A lot of times weddings can be stressful but if you and your partner take the time to hear what each of you want, the wedding process can be very special. You only get married once so make sure you enjoy the process and make the day truly about you and your fiancé!”
