This shoot was dreamed up by Keri Kujala of Special Occasions, LLC. We spoke with Kellie of Hetler Photography to learn more about this stunning style shoot. "In Michigan, late winter/early spring is a difficult time for weddings because you never know what the outdoors is going to look like. We wanted to take on that challenge and show that any time of year can be beautiful for an intimate wedding," Kellie explains.

The venue was the perfect spot for this shoot. "We chose Bay Pointe Inn because they had a gorgeous space for intimate celebrations with a warm fireplace that just screamed winter in Michigan," Kellie gushes. We are obsessed with the view of Gun Lake! Despite the cold weather, it's an absolutely stunning backdrop for any happy couple. After all, there are plenty of seats near the stone-covered fireplace to warm up after a quick photoshoot outside.

Elegance and romance are two major themes that run throughout this jaw-dropping shoot. The light and airy color palette lends to the romantic nature of this shoot, and the décor is fit for any queen or king. Kellie raves, "Adding unique pieces like wooden chargers and colored glass goblets gave the table so much texture and life." The floral accents and various candles scattered about the venue are all so beautiful, especially the accent of purple in the bride's bouquet.

Now, let's talk about the bride's dress! The lace detailing on the bodice of the dress is exquisite. Though it is a rather modern style of dress, Keri balanced it out by choosing a classic veil. "The bride wore a long cathedral veil to bring a little brush of romance and softness against the snow and rugged winter terrain," Kellie says. Her hair and makeup were kept rather simple to truly show the bride's natural beauty.

Take a look at those delicious cookies! Deciding to opt for a unique dessert instead of the traditional wedding cake, the planners landed on the most scrumptious cookies for this occasion. We love the gold details in the frosting, and the decision to use the words "we do" as edible décor! Any array of guests would love these quick snacks during a reception. Also, check out those beautiful stationery pieces by Pretty Petal Papers! They fit the theme perfectly and are a wonderful touch to this celebration!
