This Organic and Open Indianapolis Engagement Is Full of Autumn Tones: The Engagement of Katie and Jake

Connecting online, neither Katie nor Jake wanted a long-distance digital relationship, but fate drew them closer. After realizing how much they had in common, they decided to go for it and found they were a perfect match! Jake popped the question during an impromptu performance of Frozen’s “Love is an Open Door.” It sounds like pure Disney magic!

Jake had a good idea of what kind of ring Katie wanted. She says, “It feels like he picked what I wanted right out of my head. It’s simple but the stones on the band really make it pop!

The pair were impressed seeing Courtney Carney Photography’s work at their friend’s wedding and knew they had to book her. Katie remembers, “I was so impressed with Courtney's photos and bubbly personality. You could tell that she not only captured these beautiful, genuine moments of happiness and laughter but that she brought them out in everyone too!”

Because the couple plans to get married in 2021, Katie is focusing on helping her twin sister plan her wedding, which is happening this year. “It’s been really nice to help my sister, because it gives me an idea of what should be done when, as well as what I can do myself versus what should really be done professionally,” Katie explains. “We have an idea of what we want and potential vendors, at this point it’s just figuring out logistics like scheduling and budgeting.”
