Rainbow Romance in Southwest Michigan: The Real Wedding of Sara and John Earl

Inspired by their aptitude for trusting the universe and being their authentic selves, Sara and John planned a wedding that brought them joy and focused on what was important to them over tradition. One major decision based on feel was their choice of Bell Mare Weddings & Events as their venue. “Bell Mare is absolutely beautiful, but the thing that sold us was the owners,” Sara raves. “The work and care they have put into renovating Bell Mare is apparent in so many details and you feel their warmth and energy in the space.” The couple picked a lot of their other vendors by the vibes they got in meeting them after seeing some of their incredible examples of their work or hearing high praise from the venue owners!

Advice from the Couple

“The process of planning a wedding can become overwhelming so quickly. It’s easy to be swept up into all the ideas and options and opinions. You can get lost in it all. John and I created a vision for how we wanted to feel on the day and rooted ourselves in a few key thoughts and words. This was really helpful because it became a touchstone we kept coming back to. When things started spinning, we could reflect and see if we were getting closer to our vision or farther away, and then refocus.”
