There is nothing more charming than the love of two high school sweethearts. Chloe and Clay first sparked their relationship in English class in high school and their romance grew from there. It was during a trip to England when Clay decided to pop the question. Chloe says, “Clay and I stopped to take a picture with Bamburgh Castle in the background—something we had done on previous trips. At the time, Clay had a torn Achilles and was wearing a cast. Little did I notice, he was taking off his boot while we took a picture. After, he got done on one knee and proposed. It was perfect!”

After getting engaged, Chloe turned to all the resources she could to start finding her dream team of vendors. There was one vendor she already had her heart set on though—and that was her venue. She says, “I’ve known of the Manor House for years and drove by it frequently. I loved the grounds and the Carriage House on their property. I looked at a few other places, but think I always had my heart set on the Manor House.”

The couple went for a regal, blue and white color scheme with equally as royal style seen in other elements of the wedding. Chloe’s dress was a princess gown that she found at La Jeune Mariee in Columbus. She adds, “It is the Vera Wang Jocelyn dress, with a Sara Gabriel Vida Duet belt.”

What We Love

We love the fact that Chloe created a special moment for her and her father during the reception. She recalls, “For our father and daughter dance, I had recorded a message to my dad. The DJ looped it into the beginning of the song. My dad thought it was a regular dance and then a recording came over the speakers thanking him for everything. It made us both tear up and was a special moment we got to share."

Advice from the bride

After planning a dreamy wedding, Chloe says, “Enjoy the journey. No matter what everything will come together and the day will be everything you dreamt of.”
