Hannah and Quenton bonded over their passion for helping others. The two met and fell in love while in nursing school. Hannah says, "What started out as long nights of studying for exams turned into even longer nights of laughter and more talking than studying. What first led me to Quenton was his passion for helping others (or maybe it was the fact that he was the only male in a room of 50 women) and his smile that could literally light up an entire room."

Of course, with Quenton being the perfect guy he planned the perfect proposal. Hannah and Quenton were about to graduate and their nursing class was having a pinning ceremony. Hannah knew something was off when Quenton was acting strangely throughout the whole ceremony. Hannah says, "After the ceremony, we went outside to take pictures with all of our friends and family. Surrounded by all of our loved ones, Quenton asked me to spend our lives together! Of course, I said "Yes!"."

After saying "yes" to her best friend, Hannah started planning a wedding that would be perfect for her and Quenton. They started by picking a date and a venue. The chose their date because they had always wanted to have a fall wedding.

Hannah had a little trouble planning out the details. She says her entire vision changed by the time she was done with planning, "Almost every aspect of the color scheme was changed by the time the wedding came around. I have always been intrigued by vintage shops and antique stores so I knew I wanted many of the details in the wedding to have a vintage feel. My mother and I found two beautiful candelabras at an antique store that we refurbished. A lot of the wedding was centred around the look of the candelabras.  As the time went on throughout the wedding planning process, details started to fall into place and my vision became more focused." It just goes to show that you never know what will be the inspiration behind your wedding theme and decor.

The one choice that came easily to Hannah was her dress. She knew immediately that it was the dress she wanted to get married in when she tried it on. She says, "I tried on several different styles beforehand. As soon as I tried on my dress, I knew it was the one. It had everything I was looking for and was the perfect combination of classy and glamorous."

What we love

Hannah was able to create a charming and light atmosphere for her wedding. The maroon and gold color scheme was the perfect match to this industrial, rustic venue. Every detail was thought of with sparkling crystals in the florals to gold accessories like the tablecloths and chargers.

advice from the bride

Most of the time a bride cannot do it all by herself. Hannah knew this well as she was planning a wedding in a different city from where she lived. Luckily she had her family to help out, "Quenton and I both live in Indianapolis and were married in Goshen. My mom helped tremendously since she lived near the wedding location and was able to meet with vendors when we were unable to."
